GQ does fashion shows and talent shows in an effort to find new talent in the areas of music, dancing, modeling, etc. We are hosting a talent show in the Greater Cincinnati area in April, 2009 at the Carnegie Theater in Covington, KY. LIVE programming can easily be created for free (no operating costs) on sites like Stickam.com Producers can broadcast their show LIVE from home with a high speed computer and live webcam or from an internet cafe. Cable Access Television Producers should all share the same free account, signing up for different times on an 8 hour grid. Note: Many cable access TV stations are closing because of operating costs. 	Thread started: Dec 6 2007, 4:01 PM EST Watch We have been exploring various options for streaming and I was hoping some people could offer some insight into what is out there. So far we have looked at EarthChannel, Granicus, and Tightrope Media for hardware encoder options and content delivery network options. A big part of our situation is that we have money for capital expenditures but not for recurring operations expenses. We are looking at encoder purchases but we would likely still have to partner with a CDN in order to have the capacity to stream to more than a handful of people. All we have currently is one DSL line out of the building. A high bandwidth fiber line would be nearly 14k to install plus still have recurring monthly usage costs.
